Boggs Middleton III is the owner and Lead instructor of S.D.T. Safeguard Defensive Tactical. Boggs has been a USCCA Certified Instructor for 2 years. He is certified to teach SC CWP, Basic Handgun, Home Defense, CPR/Stop the Bleed, Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals, Countering The Mass Shooter Threat and is also certified NRA and USCCA Range Safety Officer. Boggs has been a career firefighter for 20 plus years and served in the U.S. Army.

Customer Service Call
Tyres Nesmith is the Corporal over Support Services at Conway Police Department, where she is over the Senior Watch Program, School Resource Officers, Animal Control, and Special Events. Tyres is also the Horry CAST Coordinator that represents her police department on the coalition. She is a local girl who grew up on the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, but her family moved to Conway after the base closed. She is graduate of Conway High School, and after graduation, she joined the United Stated Marine Corps. She returned home, and started a career in banking with the Conway National Bank. Her passion to help people led her to make the decision to a career change in 2005 when she joined the Conway Police Department. She started on patrol as a police officer and then a patrol supervisor. She also worked as a Detective in the Investigations Division. She left Conway Police Department briefly to be a Police Investigator at the Department of Public Safety with Coastal Carolina University, but returned home to Conway Police Department and was promoted to her current position. She is the mother of 3 kids and 1 huge Golden doodle dog.
Scheduled Delivery
Steve has recently retired after 25 years in law enforcement with 17 years as a SWAT operator. Steve also taught police firearms tactics and was a Sniper instructor in the State of Maryland. Steve is certified to teach everything from entry level firearms basics to advanced firearms courses. As a trainer, Steve has trained many Officers to be better and he is looking to do the same in the civilian world. Steve just recently received his instructor certification from USCCA and is also certified in “Force on Force” training. Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company and is very “High Speed” regarding training.

This Self-Defense Class for Women exceeded my expectations. Boggs Middleton is an excellent instructor and a man of good character. He is comprehensive, knowledgeable and attentive to safety while addressing individual proficiency levels. Initially, I was apprehensive about handling firearms but after several classes with Boggs, I feel equipped and confident. I am comfortable with firearms, reacting to threats and making proper decisions for my family in a self-defense situation. Officer Tyres Nesmith was an asset. She was informative, encouraging and resourceful. She emphasized firearms safety, situational awareness, laws, rights and tactical skills. Her presence was inspiring and expertise was beneficial. I appreciate her dedication to protect and serve. I highly recommend this class and I am looking forward to our next "enjoyable experience!" Thank you again, Mr. Boggs and Officer Tyres for your time and commitment to educate and empower women.
